FPT Debuting Natural Gas Engine for Agricultural Applications at EIMA 2016

FPT Industrial will be present at the 2016 edition of EIMA International (BolognaFiere, November 9-13, Hall 15 - First floor - Stand B11) with the most representative engines and technologies of its full range line-up for agricultural applications.

Back to its roots, while anticipating the future. At EIMA 2016, FPT Industrial will present a stand with a completely new look and feel. The style of the booth is inspired by a “Technological Factory” concept, while the space is designed to welcome visitors and involve them in an interactive discovery of FPT Industrial's engines and technologies.

HI-eSCR2 aftertreatment system for Stage V standards

Among the products showcased at EIMA, the focus will be on future emissions level Stage V, starting from HI-eSCR2, the next generation of FPT Industrial’s renowned and patented High Efficiency Selective Catalytic Reduction (HI-eSCR) aftertreatment technology. FPT Industrial confirms its long-term SCR-only strategy in order to achieve the uprated standards whilst retaining Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) on engines above 4 L and an active regeneration free solution, thus maintaining the competitive advantages achieved at Stage IV/Tier 4 Final, such as best in class in fuel economy and power and torque density.

From the NEF Series, the N67 will be on display. This 6.7 L, 6 cylinder unit has a maximum power output of 230 kW, complying with Stage V emissions standards.

Finished Products: FPT Industrial's Energy and Power Units solutions

Within its portfolio, FPT Industrial offers a series of engines for Energy and Power Unit solutions. Its Power Generation range includes a variety of engines from 32-770 kW. FPT Industrial's Power Units can be easily custom-built to fit a wide range of agricultural and industrial applications, such as: hydraulic power units, manure and dewatering pump units, water jet/blaster units.

FPT Industrial will display its N45 for Industrial Power Units applications at EIMA 2016. It is a 4 cylinder, 4.5 L engine delivering up to 88 kW, compliant with Stage IIIA emissions standards, equipped with options specifically designed for Power Unit applications. While, at the upper end of the power generation segment, the 6 cylinder, 16 L Cursor 16 in its G-Drive configuration will also be on display.

Compact HI-eSCR top performance in a small size ATS solution

HI-eSCR represents the breakthrough in SCR, which was pioneered by FPT Industrial at its Research & Development Center in Arbon, Switzerland. Since 2005, over 650,000 units have been produced and are in operation in various applications, including commercial vehicles, agricultural and construction machines.

Top performance and low operating costs in a small size solution: high efficiency SCR and the lowest EGR rate in the market (10%) enable a 20% more compact ATS dimension (compared to HI-eSCR), to meet requirements of space-constrained applications such as midrange and specialty tractors. Compact HI-eSCR will be mounted on an F34 Stage IV/Tier 4 Final engine FPT Industrial will showcase at EIMA 2016.

Sustainability remains at the heart of agricultural applications

Furthermore FPT Industrial will present a NEF 6 NG prototype at EIMA for agricultural applications. The future is here: FPT Industrial is presenting a world preview of its engine powered by natural gas specifically for the agricultural sector.
