Hatz is expanding its management team with Wilfried Riemann, thereby underscoring the strategic development of its business and production areas. Riemann is joining Hatz from Deutz AG, where, among other things, he spent 7 years as Senior Vice President of Global Operations Segment Compact Engines. His responsibilities included the functional areas of logistics, production, supply chain and quality worldwide. In his most recent position as Senior Vice President Business Segments Engines, Riemann was also responsible for the development of engine-related application segments. Wilfried Riemann, new COO at Hatz.Wilfried Riemann, new COO at Hatz.

Since August 1, 2018, Riemann has been Chief Operations Officer (COO) at Hatz, assuming responsibility for all productive areas relating to the production of industrial diesel engines, drive components (crankshafts, connecting rods) and special systems (power and energy supply, pumps). In addition, he is also responsible for the production and pre-assembly plant in the Czech Republic as well as New Diesel Italy, a Hatz company specializing in the production of mechanical injection components. His key responsibilities in the operational area include expanding development partnerships, ensuring competitive advantages for customers using Hatz engines, developing cooperation with leading technology partners, and quality management. The optimization of production processes and industrial digitization are high on his list of priorities.

One of the first actions of the native Rhinelander was to supervise the renovations during the three-week works holidays in August 2018. The main goal was to optimize the production processes on the engine assembly line in the main plant in Ruhstorf an der Rott.

"With the Hatz H-series engine family, we are at the forefront of innovation in the industrial diesel engines segment. Wilfried Riemann's expertise will be instrumental in securing this position for the future and building on the outstanding market position of our engines and engine components, as well as maintaining the high delivery reliability and quality. In addition, Hatz is taking the big and important step towards industrial digitisation. The goal is to continue to be an outstanding business partner to our customers in future too. We are very pleased to have Wilfried Riemann on board, a skilled and proven manager, who is successfully implementing this mammoth task together with his teams and is thus guaranteeing our customers long-term added value in their cooperation with Hatz," explains Bernd Krüper, CEO at Hatz.
