In partnership with its sister brand Case IH, FPT Industrial is powering the Optum 300 CVXDrive tractor with its N67 Stage V engine. With the new emission regulation for non-road machinery being effective from 2019, the Case IH model is Stage V compliant thanks to FPT Industrial’s engine knowledge and preparation. Both the tractor and the engine was on display at the Case IH stand at EIMA 2018 (Hall 14, stand A4).

The N67 Stage V engine ensures fuel efficiency and low particulate emissions and its VGT Turbocharger contributes to its high power and quick load response. The 6.7-L, 6-cylinder engine delivers maximum power of 230 kW at 1,800 rpm and maximum torque of 1,282 Nm at 1,400 rpm.

The unit maintains the same dimensions and layout as the previous model, which preserves the compactness of its cooling and aftertreatment system.

The aftertreatment system is the second generation renowned and patented HI-eSCR (High Efficiency Selective Catalytic Reduction) system, which enables the engine to avoid EGR while achieving maximized performance and maintaining its optimum features.

The company’s technology has also allowed the service interval on the Optum CVXDrive tractor to extend from 600 hours to 750 hours.
