The bauma Innovation Award was established to reward trendsetting cutting edge-technologies. The next edition will take place at bauma from April 8-14, 2019, in Munich.
For its 12th edition, the award ceremony will honor pioneering developments, sustainable procedures and appealing designs. The bauma innovation awards are open to all bauma exhibitors as well as research institutes, universities, research companies and members of the German construction industry’s leading association.
The prizes will be given to innovations which are future-oriented, efficient, relevant and could make a positive contribution towards energy and resource efficiency or safety and working conditions.
There are five distinct categories:
- Machinery
- Components and digital systems
- Construction work, construction methods, and construction processes
- Science and research
- Design the “Components” - this category will, for the first time, also cover developments in the field of “Digital systems”
Keeping in mind that all the innovations need to be linked to the construction, building materials or mining machinery industry.
The international jury, consisting of representatives from industry, science and specialist media, will select three innovations per category. CECE is President Enrico Prandini will be part of the jury. The 15 nominees will be announced at the bauma Media Dialog on January 28 and 29, 2019 in Munich. The prize will be awarded on the eve of bauma 2019.
The bauma innovation award is a joint project under the leadership of a CECE member, the German Engineering Federation (VDMA), bauma, the Central Association of the German Construction Industry (HDB), the German Construction Confederation (ZDB) and the German Building Materials Association (BBS).
Application can be submitted from April 3 until September 5, 2018.
