GS Global Resources' Employees Raise $250,000 for Children's Hospital

“We rather than me” fuels fundraising success of 113-employee Wisconsin firm

Each year, 113 employees of GS Global Resources come together to give to Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin. This year marks a special milestone for employees of the mobile and industrial systems integrator: $250,000 raised since 2002.

“Teamwork is less about me and more about we, and our GS Global Resources family certainly has embraced giving back through service opportunities,” Operations Director Tom Nicholson says. “Our employees take a lot of pride in being one of the top fundraising corporate teams supporting the Brigg’s & Al’s Run & Walk for Children’s Hospital.”

As one of the nation’s top children’s hospitals, Children’s Hospital offers some of the nation’s best medical and social service care. Named after its founder, the late Marquette University basketball coach Al McGuire, Al’s Run & Walk is one of the Milwaukee’s longest running traditions.

“Team GS personifies our belief in giving back to the community,” President John Thornton says. “Only through the tremendous dedication and generosity of our employees and sponsors would this milestone be reached to benefit children.”

This year Team GS raised a total of $25,595 for Briggs Al’s Run for Milwaukee Children’s Hospital to exceed the total fundraising mark of $250,000 since 2002.
