New figures show medium and heavy truck sales in July were up 19% compared to the same time last year, but down 5% from June 2012. A total of 46,718 trucks over 10,000 lbs. were sold.
Class 8 truck sales were up 27% compared to July 2011 while Class 7 sales were up 20%.
So far this year 608,960 total trucks have been sold, which is 11% more than were sold in 2011. Class 8 trucks have had the highest increase over the same time period from last year with a 36% rise in sales.
