Senate Considering Passage of Transportation and Housing Spending Bill

The Senate is said to be considering passage of a DOT and HUD bill allowing $54 billion for transportation and housing spending.

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) is reported to have announced last week the Senate will consider a spending bill for the Departments of Transportation (DOT) and Housing and Urban Development (HUD). 

Known as the THUD bill, the legislation would provide $54 billion for transportation and housing spending. 

In addition to the THUD bill, 11 other annual appropriations bills will be considered by the Senate.
