Armoured vehicle manufacturers are creating US $5 billion opportunities for second tier suppliers of armour, glass, suspension, C4I and HVAC systems at Defence IQ's Defence Mobility East Africa being held in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania November 25 to 26, 2013.
They are taking advantage of the East Africa's armoured vehicle spending which alone will top US $9 billion over the next five years - a sizable portion of the overall US $20 billion for the whole of Africa.
Defence IQ, in official partnership with the Tanzanian Peoples Defence Forces, have launched this armored vehicles summit dedicated to helping regional and international industry understand African procurement requirements and to keep their solutions front of mind whilst African militaries are undergoing what Defence News termed a 'Vehicle Spending Spree' (July 15, 2013).
