ACT Indicates Strong End for 2015 Class 5-8 Truck Orders

Preliminary data from ACT indicates Class 5-8 vehicle orders rose 40% in December, reaching 49,700 units booked. 

Class 8 orders reached 28,100 units, the best volume this category has seen since February 2015. Orders were 68% higher than November, but 36% lower in comparison to December 2014.

Classes 5-7 had high order volumes, increasing by 20,000 units for the third time in the past 4 months. Orders were 15% higher than November, but 5% lower than December of the previous year.
