Stoneridge Presents Technologies to Move Trucking Industry Forward at IAA 2018

Stoneridge Inc. will be demonstrating its outlook on the future of the commercial vehicle market at this year’s IAA Commercial Vehicles Show in Hannover, Germany. With innovation as one of the company’s main principles, Stoneridge will be showcasing its global capabilities with an Innovation Truck that is fully equipped with a range of technology solutions across the commercial vehicle market. 

Visitors are welcomed to stand A09 in hall 16 to get the full Stoneridge experience, covering a wide range of innovative products responding to the rapidly changing customer and industry challenges in areas such as safety and security, intelligence, efficiency and emissions. 

Stoneridge’s unique and highly advanced mirror replacement system, MirrorEye will also be present at the show, designed to greatly improve safety and security for everyone on the road. Using the latest in automotive technology, the system replaces traditional mirrors with cameras and interior displays, enhancing safety and virtually eliminating blind spots so drivers are better aware of dangers in their surroundings.

Stoneridge, one of the largest commercial vehicle instrument cluster manufacturers, is also inviting visitors to experience its vision of the driver environment of the future through their Fully Configurable Dashboard, the FCD4. Using augmented reality and connectivity, this interactive demo equipped with the latest driver information displays and MirrorEye system will give visitors a completely new outlook on the area of driver-vehicle interaction.

Show visitors will also get a chance to see and demo Stoneridge’s new 1C Smart Tachograph for the first time. The European Commission is introducing the new Annex 1C legislation to reduce fraud through tachograph manipulation and improve the efficiency of the control of the system. Industry expert, Stoneridge, is ready for this change with the development of its new Smart Tachograph, to ensure drivers will be compliant, productive and working with the latest technology.
