SEM, formerly the Shandong Engineering and Machinery Company, was founded in 1958 and reorganized as a shareholding company in 2003. Located in Qingzhou City, east of Shandong province, SEM currently has approximately 2,000 employees. In 2008, SEM joined Caterpillar Inc. as an important part of Caterpillar’s marketing strategy in China, and today SEM is a major Caterpillar brand supporting China’s fast growing customer base. Current products include wheel loaders, soil compactors, motor graders and fabrications business. Our technical research and development teams are committed to developing landfill compactors, track type tractors and other new products.
