Liebherr Components has introduced the FAT 325 travel drive which was developed to meet the increasing demand for electrically driven crawler vehicles.
- Designed for devices with an operating weight of roughly 30 to 40 tonne and speeds up to 5 km/h
- Well suited for vehicles with a diesel-electric drivetrain
- Powered by an electric motor from the PGF Series
- Electric motor has a rated power of 15 kW at 167 Hz
- Features protection of IP67 and permanent sealing systems for use in harsh operating environments
- Special winding layout of motor with permanent magnet technology ensures high torque in a compact design, allowing precise positioning of drivetrain between the chains of the crawler vehicle
- Windings of electric motor, which have been manufactured according to IEC standard 60034, are designed with Class H insulation and can therefore be used up to an operating temperature of 180 C
- Gearboxes use minimum number of optimized parts and are designed to ensure uniform load distribution in the various gear stages and therefore high power and torque density
- Main bearing is designed as an integral unit, resulting in long service life due to reduced number of individual parts
