Hallite Opens New Global Test Facility

The facility combines laboratory and product testing space previously housed in separate buildings and is equipped for a wide range of material and product characterization.

Hallite Seals International Ltd. has announced the grand opening of its new state-of-the-art product and material test house after breaking ground in January. Located inside the global manufacturing building at 130 Oldfield Rd in Hampton, UK, the new Hallite facility combines laboratory and product testing space previously housed in separate buildings. Constructed and equipped for a wide range of material and product characterization, the reimagined facility drives forward the company’s capabilities and focuses on innovative growth.

“This is an incredible historical milestone for Hallite as we continue to work with customers and partners through the challenges of the pandemic,” says Andrew Iddeson, Global Technical Director. “In-house testing is a capability pillar for Hallite and a fundamental part of the company’s legacy. Almost all of its industry-leading products were developed and launched from the testing program.”

Iddeson adds, “The objective to have the new facility up and running by the end of the Third Quarter was met, thanks to the tireless, collaborative efforts of a small dedicated team of staff and vendors. As a result, customers and partners will now benefit from greater accessibility to research and development processes created to deliver better-performing, high-quality hydraulic cylinder sealing products at the right time.”

The new Hallite facility also allows customers and trusted partners to observe real-time testing in the laboratory or remotely. Improved testing and analysis equipment, hardware upgrades, and enhanced data capture and backend systems will accelerate the development and availability of critical live test data, reports, and white papers that validate a sealing product design, concept, or material.

To recognize the grand opening, a virtual facility tour is now available on-demand. Customers and partners can learn more about the processes and technologies positioned to meet the industry’s need for enhanced products and materials that are designed and proven for emerging market requirements.
