Trelleborg, global developer and supplier of tire and complete wheel solutions for the agricultural industry, has launched a new 3D animated movie which is available on YouTube via its social media channel, TrelleborgAgri.
The film, created using up-to-date and sophisticated 3D animation techniques, tells the life story of a smart cartoon cricket that starts his own agricultural business and miniature farm. The story, which begins in 1955, follows the cricket ‘farmer’ through the ages, following his journey as he comes face-to-face with evolving tractor technologies. From x-ply tires, through to upgraded tractors equipped with radial technology tires, the cricket must learn how to survive and work alongside these new technologies.
‘Hopping’ to the nineties, we see the cricket take a ride on a high-speed modern tractor, enjoying premium comfort and efficiency as he travels along the road on Trelleborg XL tires. Finally, the cricket finds himself back in the present day, with his farm surrounded by sustainable agricultural cultivations and technologies.
“After watching the adventures of our new animated character, we hope audiences appreciate the strong contribution and role of Trelleborg as an innovation pioneer in agriculture history,” says Lorenzo Ciferri, Marketing Director Agricultural & Forestry Tires at Trelleborg Wheel Systems.
Visitors to the leading agricultural exhibition, SIMA 2013 in Paris, France, were given the chance to enjoy an exclusive preview of the movie with polarized glasses after Trelleborg set up a dedicated ‘3D cinema’ at its booth. The film was watched by more than 3,000 visitors, recording a great success.
“Our 3D film will allow our customers to experience an amazing journey and look at the performance of Trelleborg products from a totally different perspective. We wanted to bring advanced and modern entertainment tools into our business, with a goal of sharing the Trelleborg vision for the future of agriculture with farmers and contractors,” concludes Ciferri.
“Hopping back to the future” is now available on the company's YouTube channel.
