Bridgestone names new president of commercial tire division

Bridgestone announces Taylor Cole as President, Commercial OTR with responsibility of leading the company's North American commercial and strategic direction.

Bridgestone Commercial, a division of Bridgestone Americas Tire Operations (BATO), announces the appointment of a new president in the commercial tire division. As President, Commercial OTR, Taylor Cole will be responsible for leading Bridgestone’s North American commercial and strategic direction. Cole will be instrumental in harnessing resources for continued growth of the division, solidifying Bridgestone’s commitment to the mining, construction, aggregates, as well as road and bridge, and port business segments.

“Taylor brings rich and diverse experience to the commercial team,” says Kurt Danielson, President, U.S. & Canada Commercial Tire Sales. “He will lead the vision and execution of our short- and long-term direction, including strengthening our value proposition, developing a high-performing team and ensuring market strategies tie into the vision of both the Commercial division and Bridgestone. Taylor’s management strength and initiative will energize our team and commitment to all OTR segments.”

Taylor brings a history of proven management experience, most recently serving as Managing Director of all U.S. new equipment and aftermarket business units at Howden North America Inc. He has also served in executive roles at Intergraph Corporation, Sandvik Mining and Construction, and Freeport McMoRan Copper and Gold Inc. in the U.S. and overseas. Cole earned a bachelor’s degree in marine transportation from the United States Merchant Marine Academy and an MBA from the University of Florida. Cole served as a lieutenant in the United States Naval Reserve.
