The first live demonstration of the Mitas PneuTrac concept in the United States will take place at the Farm Progress Show in Decatur, IL, in September. During the field demonstration, a 28 in. PneuTrac will be mounted on the front axle of a Case IH Maxxum tractor. The rear axle will be fitted with a 38 in. PneuTrac. Mitas PneuTrac will also be displayed during the show at Mitas stand No. 442 mounted on a Case IH Maxxum tractor. Mitas will release the detailed schedule of PneuTrac demonstrations for the press and the public soon.

“At Farm Progress, it will be the world premiere field demo of Mitas PneuTrac mounted on both axles of a tractor. It is a good opportunity to see the advantages of this award-winning concept mounted on a high-horsepower tractor,” says Andrew Mabin, Mitas' Marketing and Sales Director. “Mitas PneuTrac is not yet commercially available and we still have some way to go with the R&D development before releasing it commercially, but we are getting closer to the point that a clearer release date will be available.”

Mitas PneuTrac brings together the best of both worlds in traditional pneumatic tires and rubber tracks. PneuTrac provides better traction efficiency with lower slippage, resulting in lower operational costs, higher crop yields and less damage to soil compared with standard tires. PneuTrac provides very stable driving at low inflation pressures, ensuring comfort and safety with no need to adjust inflation pressure. Mitas is developing its PneuTrac concept with its partner, Galileo Wheel Ltd. In November 2014, Mitas PneuTrac received the EIMA Technical Innovation award.
