Oerlikon’s Drive Systems Segment, with its brands Oerlikon Graziano and Oerlikon Fairfield, leaders in design, development and manufacturing of gearboxes, components and drives, will exhibit its innovative products for all types of agricultural machinery applications, such as Shifting Solutions, Torque-Hub planetary drives, CVT and axles at Agritechnica in Hanover (Germany), from November 10 to 14, 2015 (November 8 and 9 are preview days). The attention will be focused also on the synergies with Oerlikon Balzers and Oerlikon Metco, leaders in surface solutions improving the mechanical features of the components, to show the expanded possibilities enabled by these partnerships.
The transmission concepts on show at Agritechnica demonstrate how Oerlikon’s Drive Systems Segment products help equipment manufacturers in the agricultural sector, in terms of efficiency, durability and high-performance. The main OEMs producing tractors of the premium sector integrate Oerlikon Graziano’s Shifting Solutions in their DCT transmissions, and in general, the customers can choose from a wide range of products available, from synchronizers to power shift clutches.
A special area will show the benefits that come from the partnership between Oerlikon Graziano, Oerlikon Metco and Oerlikon Balzers, three brands under the Oerlikon umbrella. Oerlikon Metco’s friction system solutions are recognized for the exceptional features and benefits they bring to carbon coated synchronizer rings: tight tolerances, reduced weight, high strength and excellent wear resistance. The carbon friction material on steel synchronizer rings provides superior friction behavior and a constant friction coefficient over their lifetime, resulting in a high level of shift comfort in manual transmissions.
On display there will be differential housings and bevel sets coated with BALINIT C, a special treatment from Oerlikon Balzers, used to improve the mechanical features of the components. BALINIT C means significantly improved wear resistance and durable efficiency. This coating offers an unmatched combination of high hardness together with low friction. It reduces the danger of seizures and pitting wear, and the low friction contributes to overall system efficiency, making it the perfect treatment for Oerlikon Graziano
products.
Oerlikon Fairfield will present its new family of Hydrostatic drives named Champion Series. Specifically designed for the needs of modern spray tractors, the range offers flexibility to accommodate to varying machine weights, speeds, tire offsets and barking performance, covering machine capacities from 600 to 1,600 gallons.
