AxleTech International is exhibiting at MINExpo in Las Vegas this week and is displaying its heavy-duty planetary axles for surface and underground mining applications.
AxleTech will be displaying its SPRC1736, a rigid heavy-duty tandem axle set built on the proven SPRC1735. These tandem axles have a capacity of up to 85,000 lbs. (39 T) and feature a high capacity hypoid gearing design which increases torque capacity by 15%. The tandem axles are available with new higher speed gearing, which allows for increased vehicle top speed.
The company is also displaying a PRC5225 rigid axle as part of its product offering to better equip today’s underground mining equipment, such as shield haulers, load haul dumps, and personnel carriers.
