Twin block tread pattern
Nokian Heavy Tyres is introducing two new sizes of the Nokian Hakkapeliitta Truck D truck and bus tire that is designed for winter conditions.
- Now available in the most common tire sizes, including 315/80R22.5, 295/80R22.5 and 315/70R22.5
- M+S label, and alpine symbol indicate official winter tire approval
- Patented twin-block pattern ensures optimal grip and precise driving response under extreme conditions
- Effective support of tread blocks allows for deep sipes, providing best possible grip without compromising driving stability
- Deep 3D siping maintains grip as tire wears down
- Dense lateral siping improves traction and braking grip
- Sipe activators on tread boost operation of sipes and guarantees driving safety, even under rapidly changing weather conditions
- Traction booster zigzag-pattern on surface improves longitudinal grip
- Operates across wide temperature range
- Wear resistance is based on tailored rubber compound and specific block distribution of strong pattern
- Step of tread has been adjusted to match uneven road surfaces
- Optimized block distribution and regular surface pressure also ensure regular wear pattern
- Features low rolling resistance to help reduce fuel consumption and exhaust gas emissions
- Tread pattern design and optimized block distribution reduces noise up to 3 dB compared to predecessor
- Wear indicators provide safety and make it easy to follow the wear of the tire
- Driving Safety Indicator (DSI) indicates in numbers how many millimetres of tread there is left on the main grooves of the tire
- Winter Safety Indicator (WSI) shows when tire's winter grip properties are strongest, and reaches around half of the pattern depth
