As Webasto has increased its battery development in recent years, it has continued to bring on more talent and expand the team working on this technology, says Josh Lupu, Director of Marketing at Webasto. This enables the company to serve a variety of global applications and markets, including heavy-duty vehicles and equipment.

Webasto’s battery team includes those focused on cell and module design, electronic control and thermal management so as to provide OEM customers with a complete system solution. The team will work directly with customers to spec out the appropriate battery pack that will best fit their use case. This ensures the right amount of energy is provided and managed appropriately, optimizing cost and performance, says Lupu.
