Maxima Technologies, a leading global supplier of severe-duty electronic instrumentation, controls and sensors, has announced the company is changing its name to maximatecc. The name change follows the acquisition of two companies: Turotest, Brazil-based supplier of instrumentation products, and CrossControl, Sweden-based provider of advanced control and display solutions.

Merging the three companies into a single business unit under the maximatecc brand draws upon complementary capabilities to create one global company that offers a spectrum of vehicle control solutions designed to put humans in control of vehicles in critical environments. The expanded portfolio and international footprint enable maximatecc to support industrial vehicle OEMs in the evolution of vehicle platform technology while offering global OEMs access to local manufacturing, logistics support and services.

“Based on the legacy of three great companies, we are building a brand that better positions the company in the market and resonates with our strategic direction and ambitions,” comments maximatecc President John Buck. “At the same time, maximatecc integrates a broad range of capabilities to make the company a full-fledged partner to OEMs globally, offering them a solution continuum that helps OEMs meet the needs of different markets that exhibit varying maturity and characteristics.”

maximatecc’s purpose and vision -- humans in control -- underscores the importance of being motivated by the challenges of the human in the machine. The efficiency and performance of an industrial vehicle depends to a great extent on how well the operator can utilize the capabilities of the machine. This will be a key differentiator for vehicle OEMs going forward. The maximatecc solution portfolio for user interaction, vehicle control and wireless connectivity responds to this need, enabling OEMs to efficiently realize sharp user interaction and value-adding operator support systems.
