Briggs & Stratton has announced a technology partnership within its Vanguard commercial battery network with HAINZL Motion & Drives. Vanguard, the dedicated commercial brand of Briggs & Stratton, offers OEMs advanced battery systems to power their machinery. This partnership further strengthens the global Vanguard technology partner network into new industries.
Founded in 1965 and celebrating its 60th anniversary this year, Austrian-based company HAINZL, provides and delivers specialized drive and automation systems to international manufacturers within the hydraulic, electrical system and human machine interface (HMI) sectors. Its new partnership with Vanguard, which brings nearly 40 years of experience in delivering power solutions to commercial applications, unites two providers of integrated electrified power solutions.
Uniting these leading brands, this partnership expands Vanguard’s ability to support OEMs across Central Europe with tailored electrification solutions and demonstrates Briggs & Stratton’s commitment to innovation and the future of battery power technology.
With decades of experience, HAINZL provides a unique combination of engineering expertise, system integration capabilities, and customer-focused solutions to a wide range of industries — including machinery, agriculture and automotives to construction and metal. Acting as a single source for customized, high-performance solutions, HAINZL meets the rapidly evolving demands of modern machinery and industrial applications.
Now powered and integrated with the Vanguard battery system, HAINZL will provide comprehensive solutions to a broader range of customers. An example of this is the integration of Vanguard fixed battery packs into the state-of-the-art electro-hydraulic system at M.A.H-Holzinger’s concrete lintel production plant, where an outdated diesel-hydraulic setup was replaced with a fully electric drive system. This resulted in a quieter, cleaner and more sustainable operation, supporting electrification and environmental targets such as the Green Deal, while enhancing efficiency and workplace conditions.
While the partnership between HAINZL and Vanguard is new territory, it is supported by existing experience from HAINZL’s Czech subsidiary Technotrade, who is an existing Vanguard technology partner. Technotrade’s expertise will strengthen HAINZL’s electrification mission and their ability to support OEMs across Central Europe.
As OEMs accelerate their move toward electrification, Vanguard’s technology partner network aims to makes it easier to integrate advanced battery solutions and help manufacturers develop or repower existing machines with expert support and proven technology.
