Axiomatic extends the CANbus valve driver and I/O automation family to include high speed CAN (ISO 11898-2) networking. A 1 MBit/s baud rate, SAE J1939/14 500 kBit/s, standard SAE J1939/11 (250 kbit/s) or CANopen controllers can also be integrated with Axiomatic power and sensor components into modern machine applications.
The updated affects the following models - AX030500, AX030501, AX030502, AX030503.
Features of the controller family include:
- 250 kbit/s, 500 kbit/s or 1Mbit/s baud rates for CANbus
- Four independent analog signal outputs (voltage or current)
- User selectable output range from +/-10V or +/-20 mA, including: 0-5V; 0-10V; +/-5V; +/- 10V; 0-20mA; 4-20 mA; and +/-20mA
- 12V/24V DC input power (nominal) with rugged surge protection
- Galvanic isolation between power supply and analog signal outputs
- One SAE J1939 or CANopen port
- Fully sealed Deutsch IPD housing and connectors
- Programmable with PC-based Axiomatic Electronic Assistant (SAE J1939 models)
The controllers are well suited for various applications such as power generator set engine control systems, oil and gas equipment automation and off-highway machine automation.
Axiomatic works with Simulink as the software development platform for prototyping in OEM machine control applications. Simulink is a model-based design tool from The Mathworks Inc. It provides an interactive graphical environment and a customizable block library that lets Axiomatic design and implement application-specific control algorithms via embedded coding tools. Using Simulink, the OEM machine designer can design the data conversion rules between the module interfaces by using the Axiomatic Simulink library.
