Tim Callahan, Berwind Group President, announces Doug Phillips as the Chief Executive Officer of ECCO Safety Group (ESG), effective July 1, 2016. In his role, Phillips will lead strategy, leverage his extensive business experience and leadership skills, and expand on the great growth ESG has had.
“We have talented people and great teams around the world, and that’s why I’m so excited about this role,” Phillips explains. “My vision is to be sure we get the right strategy, the proper structure and process, and really focus on driving those few critical objectives to success.”
Phillips joined ESG in March of this year as President of the Americas and has proven adept at learning the business. Prior to joining ESG, his background included more than 20 years of experience in corporate finance, marketing, sales and operations. He has held senior general management positions at Dover Corporation and Rexnord Industries. Phillips will oversee operations of ESG’s offices in the Americas, Europe and Asia Pacific. ESG operates nine manufacturing facilities on four continents, along with an additional four sales offices in Europe, Australia and China.
In the near future, Phillips will work with the Global Leadership Team to focus on strategy to drive growth, as well as traveling to meet ESG’s extensive network of customers and team members around the world to establish long-term, strategic initiatives.
