Ewellix CASM-100 and LEMC Electromechanical Actuators with Built-In Wireless Sensors

Ewellix, formerly SKF Motion Technologies, has redesigned its CASM-100 and LEMC actuators with new built-in wireless sensors that can detect force and temperature.

• Delivers forces up to 82 kN (18,400 lbf), and speeds of 1 m/s (3.3 ft./s) to provide real-time, accurate information that improves machine productivity
• Features integrated force sensors within the body to provide precise measurement of the torque delivered from the motor through the internal ball or rollerscrew , even when the actuator is stationary
• Sensor acts as a temperature monitoring device that activates an alarm if the actuator is at risk of overheating
• Provides operational information in real-time, which can be communicated to higher level control systems
• Integrated sensor also makes the actuators IoT (Internet of Things) ready
• Both actuators are available in multiple combinations covering a wide range of applications
• Offers increased accuracy, flexibility, high performance, and reliability to improve productivity and lower maintenance costs
• Easy to specify the correct sized actuator for the job when converting from a hydraulic system to an electromechanical system
