Mobilaris expands its product offering with Mobilaris Tunneling Intelligence (MTI) to address both productivity and sustainability areas in tunnel development projects. Parts of the underlying functionality comes from many successful projects with Mobilaris Mining Intelligence (MMI) for underground mines all over the world. MTI will officially be launched in the Epiroc booth at bauma 2019, April 8-14 in Munich.
Mobilaris Tunneling Intelligence consists of two modules;
- Tunneling Sustainability to manage safety, workforce health, environmental impact and quality reporting in one common real-time view.
- Tunneling Productivity for fact-based process improvements by project status visualization, short interval control and improvements by analytics (from single to multiple projects).
Information-driven operations means collecting data, putting them into a context to form information. This implies integrations with an approach based on openness. In most tunneling projects, a mixed fleet from many different vendors and generations is used. That’s why Mobilaris Tunneling Intelligence is totally technology- and vendor-agnostic. It is a best fit for purpose, homogeneous and cost-efficient solution to track assets in the tunnel, to integrate planning data, machine production data, maintenance data and sensor data into one decision support system that will increase the production efficiency and sustainability of a tunneling project.
At bauma 2019, Mobilaris and Epiroc are also launching the integration between Epiroc Serpent Ventilation and Mobilaris products within mining and tunneling, which helps to increase safety and health for operators and improves energy efficiency for a tunnel or underground mine site. MMI and MTI can monitor ventilation and support the control of the airflow based on sensor monitoring. You will find Mobilaris in the Epiroc booth Hall FS booth no 1208/1 at bauma 2019 in Munich for discussions.
“We entered the mining industry 2012. Today we have mining customers all over the world, learning from them every day. Tunneling projects have a lot in common with the mining industry, but also several new challenges for us to provide solutions for. A minor part of all features within MMI is already being used in large tunneling projects today like The Stockholm bypass project. What we do now through MTI is to provide a battery of benefits focused on tunneling projects, continuously improved by feedback from all parts within tunnel projects”, says Mikael Nyström, CEO Mobilaris Mining & Civil Engineering AB.
