Rosenbauer Firefighting Vehicle Improves Safety in Mining Applications

The specialized design of the Volvo Penta powered PANTHER firefighting vehicle meets the unique requirements of mine sites.

The Rosenbauer PANTHER aircraft rescue and firefighting vehicle offers several advantages for mining applications. Unlike structural firefighting vehicles, Rosenbauer’s 6x6 PANTHER is built for off-road use.

The PANTHER is powered by a Volvo Penta D16 engine which provides enough power to split output between the fire pump and transmission. “Volvo Penta and Rosenbauer deliver a solution that…can reach the scene quickly to reduce the risk of operational losses and lives,” said Darren Tasker of Volvo Penta.
