API Heat Transfer Announces New Corporate Structure

API Heat Transfer announces that it has restructured the company into three business units to better meet the needs of its diverse customer base. The new market-focused units are Engine Cooling, Industrial, and Thermal Transfer Products (TTP). Each business unit will be led by a Vice President/General Manager who will oversee the respective operations, sales and engineering departments.

“Our new corporate structure enables an intense focus on our customers specific to the markets that each business unit operates in. This will enhance the value in products, services and operational excellence that API can bring to them,” says Stephen Rennie, CEO of API Heat Transfer. “It allows API to leverage our industry knowledge and experience for continued product innovation and position our markets for growth in 2021 and beyond.”

While the new corporate structure changes how API operates, customers are encouraged to reach out to their regular API contacts as most customer-facing API employees will stay aligned with their respective customers. Contact information for API employees will remain the same.

• Engine Cooling will be led by Greg Smietanski and includes the Engine Cooling, Construction & Specialty Vehicle, and Tubing sales organizations. The manufacturing locations operated by this business unit include Arcade, NY; Coventry, England; Dortmund, Germany; Franklin and Iron Ridge, WI; and Suzhou, China. Carrie Jacobsen will oversee operations of the U.S. and Europe locations, and Benjamin Zhou will oversee operations in China. Sales will be led by Keith Funke for Engine Cooling and Construction & Specialty Vehicle markets, and Silvia Binder will lead the Tubing market. Engineering will be led by Eugene Yu for Air Cooled products.
• Industrial will be led by Jeff Gale and includes the Process & Industrial, Sanitary, Systems, and Compressor and Dryer sales organizations. The manufacturing locations operated by this business unit include Buffalo, NY; Bretten, Germany; and Suzhou, China. Bill Kirk will oversee operations of the U.S. and Europe locations, and Benjamin Zhou will oversee operations in China. Sales will be led by Farah Skold for Industrial Markets and Bob Mladenovic for the Compressor and Dryer markets. Engineering will be led by Don Grande for Shell & Tube products, and a new leader for Plate Heat Exchanger products will be announced soon.
• Thermal Transfer Products (TTP) will be led by Al Mejia, who joined the company earlier this month. TTP is comprised of the Fluid Power & Distributed Products sales organization. Mike Lilla will lead operations in Racine, WI. Sales will be led by Tim McDonald, and engineering will be led by Bryan Day.
