Perkins introduces its 2806J-E18TTA, a Stage V/Tier 4 Final dual-certified engine which can be installed in products used in the EU and North America without modification.
- Simplifies OEM machine design
- Uses same robust mechanical electronic unit injector (MEUI) fuel system found in 2806D-E18TTA
- Series twin turbos help achieve 800 hp (597 kW) at 1,800 rpm
- Produces 3,710 Nm (2,736 lbs.-ft.) of torque
- 755 hp (563 kW) rating is also available
- Maintenance-free diesel oxidation catalyst (DOC) aftertreatment helps meet emissions standards
- No coolant, fuel or electrical connections necessary, simplifying installation
- Absence of selective catalytic reduction (SCR) eliminates need for diesel exhaust fluid (DEF) and DEF tank, reducing total package size and cost of operation
- Allows OEMs to remotely mount single can DOC for installation flexibility
- Optional engine mounted aftertreatment (EMAT) eliminates need to design and test special bracketry since engine and aftertreatment can arrive as single unit ready to be installed
