Advanced Clean Air Technologies Global (ACAT Global), manufacturer of lightweight, efficient catalytic converter substrates, has named David Johnston as Vice President of Advanced Engineering.
Johnston come to ACAT from Metalico Corporation, formerly known as Totalcat, in Newark, NJ. Johnston served as Vice President of Operations where he managed engineering, technical and non-technical staff in the recycling and manufacturing of catalytic converters. Johnston was previously an operations manager for Evironex Inc. in Devon, PA.
“David brings to ACAT vast experience and perspective from inside the emissions control industry,” says Joseph A. Moch, President and CEO of ACAT Global. “Having him on board will be a valuable asset for our continued innovation in the industry.”
Johnston will be responsible for product development, product design standards and in-house testing and approval programs. He will also oversee technical quality control, participate in industry events and lead all R&D programs with universities and technical partners.
Johnston holds a Bachelor of Science in chemical engineering from Drexel University in Philadelphia, PA.
ACAT manufactures metallic catalytic converter substrates using their patented, efficient “herringbone” design that allows ACAT’s catalytic converters to be smaller and lighter than competitive units.
