New Holland’s TS6 Series tractors (90 to 115 PTO horsepower) are new inside and out with new styling, a new VisionView cab, and new 4-cylinder Fiat Powertrain Technologies (FPT) common rail engines that meet Tier 4 Final emissions standards while delivering uncompromising power and performance.
“These affordable all-purpose standard tractors are anything but ordinary,” says Michael Cornman, Dairy and Livestock Market Segment Leader. ”They’re big on power and efficiency, loaded with comfort, and ready to handle the toughest jobs. And, with the choice of Value and Plus packages, two- or four-wheel drive, with or without a cab, they’re a smart choice for farmers who want a hard-working tractor that’s tailored to the way they want to work.”
Tier 4 Final engines: more torque for increased performance
Using the latest New Holland engine technology results is a leap in power and torque compared to previous TS6 models with Tier 3 engines. With four valves per cylinder, and the electronically controlled common rail fuel system, these engines generate more torque more quickly and hold it longer for better lugging ability. Peak torque increases in all models up to 4.7% depending on the model.
TS6 Series engines meet Tier 4B emissions standards through New Holland’s ECOBlue HI-eSCR aftertreatment system, a simple solution that not only reduces emissions, but also improves fuel efficiency. This highly advanced system is able to deliver a 95% conversion rate of nitrogen oxide (NOx) to meet the Tier 4 Final regulations without sacrificing performance. Particulate matter (PM) targets are reached by using a high injection pressure and combustion temperature, and therefore the system does not require a Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) which means no DPF regeneration time and fuel usage.
Value and Plus packages, cab or no cab, 2WD or 4WD
TS6 Series fit a wide range of farming practices: these tractors are available in both Value and Plus packages with a choice of two- or four-wheel drive, and an open ROPS platform or New Holland’s VisionView cab.
The true flat deck on the open ROPS platform provides plenty of foot and legroom since all pedals are suspended and there’s no driveline hump. A rubber floor mat is standard, while a canopy is optional.
VisionView cab: exceptional visibility and comfort
The VisionView cab features dual-fan cooling and heating, two wide clear doors, a large window in back and an expansive windshield with a sleek, curved roofline. The operator’s view is excellent, and the optional high-visibility roof panel allows the operator to see through the roof to watch the loader through all ranges of operation for increased productivity. The panel also opens for added ventilation. A deluxe air suspension seat and full-size, cushioned instructor seat is included in the Plus package and is optional on the Value package.
The VisionView cab features eight work lights—four in front and four in back—for working at night or in low light. Non-cab models feature a rear work light mounted on the ROPS for continued work after dark.
Operating ease and superior visibility are part of the TS6 tractor design. Both cab and non-cab models feature 360-degree visibility and the CommandArc console with convenient, natural placement of controls that require minimum effort. All major controls—including hydraulic remotes—are conveniently located at the operator’s fingertips. The hood flips up for easy access, and the tractors lead the industry with 600-hour service intervals
A 10:1 Creeper with electro-hydraulic engagement, with a switch on the Command Arcconsole, is available on 8 x 8 transmissions, optimal for all slow-speed applications. Available speeds are as slow as 0.16 mph.
