State of Minnesota proclaims "Donaldson Company Day" in recognition of centennial anniversary

In honor of Donaldson's centennial anniversary, the Governor of Minnesota has proclaimed Wednesday, June 24 as Donaldson Company Day.

On Wednesday, June 24, 2015, Donaldson Company Inc., a leading worldwide manufacturer of filtration systems and parts, is celebrating its centennial with an Open House at the company's Bloomington global headquarters. In recognition of this milestone, Mark Dayton, Governor of Minnesota, has proclaimed Wednesday, June 24, 2015, as Donaldson Company Day.

Tod Carpenter, Donaldson Company Inc. CEO, credits the company's first century of success to the generations of dedicated employees who have built upon its founder's vision through their unwavering commitment to customers and continuous technological innovations.

In 1915, Frank Donaldson, Sr. invented the first effective air cleaner to protect his customer's farm tractor engine. Since then, the company's goal is to be the technology leader in its markets and to use its innovative products to solve customers' air and liquid filtration challenges. Today, with over 1,600 active U.S. and international patents and sales in fiscal year 2014 of $2.5 billion, Donaldson is a global leader in filtration technology.

The company kicked off its centennial celebration by ringing the New York Stock Exchange Closing Bell on February 26, 2015. The Bloomington headquarters Open House is one of many employee celebrations, community events and charitable donations the company has scheduled throughout the year.
