Cummins showcased the full spectrum of its expertise in component technologies for the commercial diesel engine at this year’s Intermat, which ran April 23-28, 2018. These products are proven to deliver improved efficiency and achieve enhanced performance for customers whilst offering an effective solution to meet the requirements of Stage V emissions regulations.

These products include:

Single module - The Single Module is up to 50% smaller and 30% lighter than Stage IV systems, delivering a flexible midrange engine solution for customers looking to meet Stage V emissions regulations. The single cylinder design of the Single Module is enabled by advanced catalyst technologies, offering improved PM and NOx reduction capabilities. The diesel particulate filter’s passive regeneration minimizes the need for preventative cleaning and maintenance, therefore ensuring customers spend less time servicing and more time operating the application. Single module aftertreatment systemSingle module aftertreatment system

500 Series Wastegate turbocharger - Designed to improve fuel economy and reduce CO₂ emissions, this innovation in turbocharger technology delivers turbine efficiency improvements of up to 8%. Its robust design incorporates Cummins latest thinking on matching turbines to the compressor in order to achieve the best fuel economy. In addition, the 500 Series offers improved resistance to oil leakage by 200% over current industry standard.

Guidanz Mobile App – This technology is Cummins’ answer to customers’ desire for improved service experience and increased uptime. By harnessing advanced algorithms and wireless Bluetooth technology, the Guidanz mobile app allows customers to identify and prioritize engine faults codes and work with their service provider to determine the next steps. When the app is paired with a Cummins INLINE mini adapter, customers can view critical information, such as engine and public fault codes, which they can share with their operations manager or service provider using the sales and service locator.

The app offers the Immediate Assessment feature which enables Cummins-certified service providers to obtain a full fault code report. Service advisors are able to accurately assess the severity of the fault, review a list of likely repair parts, and schedule service accordingly. This greatly increases vehicle uptime and productivity.

The mobile app is available on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
