The Demo Expo 2015 will offer attendees more product demonstration opportunities and more new products to see, plus new navigation and transportation features to enhance their show experience.
The next ICUEE, International Construction and Utility Equipment Exposition, will be held September 29 – October 1, 2015 at the Kentucky Exposition Center in Louisville, Kentucky.
ICUEE 2015 is expected to be the largest ever in terms of number of exhibitors and products on display.
“Besides the test-drives, one of the best things about ICUEE, attendees tell us, is the sheer number of suppliers and new products, with 850-plus exhibitors and an exhibit footprint of 20 football fields,” says Show Director Sara Truesdale Mooney.
Some 98% of attendees at the last ICUEE said the show value was good to excellent, and organizers continually strive to deliver the highest-quality event.
“ICUEE is always looking for better ways to help attendees more easily find suppliers, get from point A to point B, and re-charge after shopping hundreds of new products and test-driving equipment. Our customer research from the 2013 show highlighted several ways we could ramp up the convenience,” Mooney says.
Making the attendee experience better
A new program approved by the ICUEE 2015 Management Committee will deliver improved show navigation, transportation and other new features:
- Better defined product concentration areas, and, for the first time, indoor exhibits organized by product categories
- New “Demo Express” direct shuttles to outdoor Lots K and L from indoor exhibits, in addition to enhanced intra-show trams and new golf-cart shuttles
- A new “Fuel Station” in Area Q - a place to sit down, relax and network with others, with Wi-Fi and charging stations, beverages, and show information
- Additional seating and restrooms throughout the show
- Additional Information Booths and helpful staff stationed throughout the show to assist attendees
- Improved show maps, distributed pre-show and onsite
Attendees will also find focused exhibit pavilions for fleet management, safety, technology and green utility products, and a hands-on Ride and Drive test track. They can also take advantage of expert education programs co-located with ICUEE and developed by leading industry organizations.
ICUEE honored by trade show industry with Gold 100 Awards
The biennial ICUEE exhibition captured top honors in Trade Show Executive (TSE) magazine’s Gold 100 list for 2013 shows: it ranked #1 for biennial shows, and #2 among all exhibitions held in the U.S. last year. TSE annually recognizes the top U.S. trade shows across all industries by exhibit space size.
The magazine cited ICUEE’s “emphasis on test drives and ‘hands on’ experience” as a key factor that “helped bring in a high percentage of qualified buyers, and good post-show reviews from exhibitors and attendees alike.” TSE also noted that “a packed program included a focus on new products along with the popular indoor ‘demo stage’ which helped draw a crowd.”
ICUEE – The Demo Expo covers 25 acres of indoor and outdoor exhibit space, and is the leading event for utilities and contractors featuring live demonstrations and best practices for utility construction, maintenance and rehabilitation projects. Manufacturers and service providers showcase and demonstrate their products in job-like conditions for the electric, natural gas, water/wastewater, and telecom/cable industry sectors.
