The Institute for Defense and Government Advancement (IDGA) announces that its fourth annual Military Vehicles Exhibition and Conference will take place July 10 to 13, 2012 at the Cobo Convention Center in Detroit, MI. The exhibition portion of the event will take place on July 11 and 12. IDGA’s Military Vehicles Exhibition and Conference is the largest stand-alone military vehicles event in the world with more than 2,500 attendees and 300+ exhibiting companies.
The event returns with its leading industry conference and exhibition showcasing the latest military vehicles technologies. In addition, the event will feature new initiatives that will address the community’s current needs. These initiatives include a focus on international buyer attendance, a pavilion of smaller security vehicles and accessories for special operations/urban operations, and a pavilion focusing on vehicle RESET.
“Our customers have indicated that international growth is paramount to their business,” says Michael Gallo, Founder and Director of IDGA’s Military Vehicles Exhibition and Conference. “Our organization produces military vehicle events around the world in locations including Central America, Africa, Europe, India and Singapore. We’ll be leveraging this strength and reach to bring the most important domestic and international buying communities to Detroit in July.”
International Buyers from Around the World
The exhibition will feature an International Pavilion where international military units will be available to discuss their current and future needs. Panel sessions within the conference will also feature international platform managers discussing their emerging programs, budgets and timelines.
Special Operations and Urban Operations Pavilion
Operating environments in locations including Central America and Africa are requiring smaller military vehicles that are more appropriate for covert operations within an urban environment. These vehicles, often on consumer platforms, require the capabilities and protection of some of the major platforms. Whether it’s an armed pick-up truck with the latest comms systems for a special operations mission or an armored SUV for official motorcades, the Special Operations and Urban Operations Pavilion will focus on this increasingly important family of vehicles.
RESET Pavilion
RESET of vehicles has become an important focus across multiple vehicle platforms. The Military Vehicles Exhibition and Conference will dedicate a networking and exhibition pavilion to the multiple depots, vendors and suppliers involved in vehicle RESET.
