Medium and heavy truck sales rose 7% in July

Sales of medium and heavy trucks increased 7% in July compared to the same period in 2014.

New figures from Wards Communications show sales of medium and heavy trucks rose 7% in July compared to 2014, though were down 4% compared to June.

Class 8 truck sales increased 24% compared to July 2014 and Class 7 sales rose 3%.

Total truck sales for the year are up 12% from 2014; Class 8 sales for the year have increased 23% while Class 7 have risen 7%.
