U.S. House Bill Would Lower Mandate For Ethanol Use

A bill has been drafted in the U.S. House of Representatives calling for a reduction of fuel ethanol when corn supplies are low.

A bill currently under consideration in the U.S. House of Representatives is calling for a reduction in the federal mandate for fuel ethanol use when corn supplies are low. 

The bill is said to reduce the mandate by 25% when the corn stocks-to-use ratio is less than 7% and reduce it by 50% if that ratio reaches 5% or less.
