Mack Trucks Expands Natural Gas-Powered Truck Offering

Mack Trucks' Pinnacle and Granite models will now be available as natural gas-powered units.

Mack Trucks announces it has expanded its offering of natural gas-powered trucks. Now the company's Pinnacle and Granite 2013 models will be available with Cummins Westport ISX12 G engines.

Both truck models will include a manintenance-free aftertreatment system, and will be available with compressed natural gas (CNG) or liquefied natural gas (LNG) fuel systems.

The company is also continuing to investigate other alternative driveline technologies such as high-pressure direct injection and the use of dimethyl ether (DME).
