CALSTART announces keynote speakers for annual meeting

CALSTART has announced the keynote speakers for its Annual Meeting and 2014 Blue Sky Award Luncheon.

Two leading policy and technology decision makers, Christopher Grundler, Director of the Office of Transportation and Air Quality, U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, and Dr. Cheryl Martin, Acting Director of the Advanced Research Projects Agency-Energy (ARPA-E), U.S. Department of Energy, will highlight CALSTART's content-rich Annual Meeting and Blue Sky Awards Luncheon this December 9 in Los Angeles.

Grundler, Director, US EPA Office of Transportation and Air Quality (OTAQ), establishes and implements national emissions standards for transportation fuels and vehicles, as well as a variety of off-road equipment. Grundler's presentation will focus on U.S. EPA policies and future clean transportation technologies.

As Acting Director of ARPA-E, Dr. Martin is responsible for the oversight of the agency, and lead's ARPA-E's Technology-to-Market program, which helps breakthrough energy technologies succeed in the marketplace. Dr. Martin will present on scaling up the next generation of clean technologies.

In addition to hearing important updates from these high-level policy makers, CALSTART's Annual Meeting and 2014 Blue Sky Award Luncheon will engage clean transportation professionals on issues facing the industry, from public/private investment, future clean transportation technologies, and fuels and global competition.

As part of the annual meeting, CALSTART will honor clean transportation leaders with the 2014 Blue Sky Awards. For over a decade, the Blue Sky Award has been presented annually to companies and individuals who have made outstanding contributions to the development of clean, sustainable transportation.
