The Optimum Harvesting Performance platform represents an original design concept that created a combine platform that could achieve significantly greater capacity without increasing physical size. The Gleaner S8 Series combine's transverse rotor design allows it to feed the crop into the machine tangentially (Natural Flow). Its rotor is surrounded by a 360 degree perforated cage with helical bars to advance the crop through the processor. The two-stage cleaning system with accelerator roll technology allowed Gleaner to reduce shoe load versus the competition and increase cleaning capacity without adding length to the shoe and needless weight.
