Eberspächer's Falkon Dualtronic heat pump version is a cabin air conditioning system for electric vehicles. Eberspächer has developed an innovative and patented heat pump system that quickly clears the windows with minimal energy consumption. In frosty temperatures, the integrated all-electric PTC heater steps in to provide support. The Falkon Dualtronic heats with up to 6 kW and cools with 7 kW.

These can regulate the temperature of the traction battery battery thermal management system (BTMS) and the electric motor separately or in combination with the cabin thermal management system (TMS). This not only saves money, but also electricity through the optimal use of energy. The integrated thermal management system therefore has a positive effect on the overall performance and range of the vehicle as well as the climate.

All HVAC units have the same design and dimensions in the version for electric, hybrid or conventional vehicles. The Falkon, for example, measures 297 x 432 x 167 cm as an EHVAC, EHHVAC, HVAC or heat pump. EHVAC systems are an uncomplicated solution for air conditioning the cabin with an electric heater and compressor. As a hybrid version, the Falkon EHHVAC uses the waste heat from the energy storage system and drive for heating and provides support with its electric PTC heater if required. Customers can therefore easily use them in all existing and future vehicle designs. This is how Eberspaecher is seamlessly shaping the transformation to e-mobility.
