Red Dot Names Todd Thurnau Director of Operations Support

Thurnau will oversee the efficiency, efficacy and safety of Red Dot facilities and lead Red Dot’s ongoing commitment to adopting LEAN practices and realizing operational synergies across across the company’s U.S. manufacturing facilities.

Red Dot Corporation has appointed Todd Thurnau as its new director of operations support. 

Thurnau will oversee the efficiency, efficacy and safety of Red Dot facilities. He is also responsible for leading Red Dot’s ongoing commitment to adopting LEAN practices and realizing operational synergies across the company’s U.S. manufacturing facilities based in Puyallup, Washington, and Memphis, Tennessee. “Todd has been a trusted team member at Red Dot for nearly two decades, and we couldn’t think of a more capable and driven individual to take this next step with,” said CEO John Beering. “His experience growing within Red Dot has primed him to help us continue elevating our operations and overall experience for OEM customers, distributors, fleet owners and vehicle operators.” 

Thurnau originally joined the Red Dot team as a design engineer in 2007. Since then, he has led major initiatives to move and open new manufacturing facilities, implement computer management systems, and drive operational excellence. Over that time, he has also built a reputation for elevating cross-functional teams through his hands-on leadership style. 

“I’ve built my career at Red Dot because this is a company that truly takes care of its people, empowering us to grow in an environment that challenges and rewards innovation and an ownership mentality,” said Thurnau. “I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to take on a new role and continue growing Red Dot’s operational capacities as well as my own leadership skills.”  Thurnau graduated from Central Washington University with a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering technology. In his free time, Thurnau enjoys working on cars and dirt bikes, in addition to hiking, fishing, camping and farming with his family.
