Parker Hannifin Expands IQAN-MD5 Line of Displays

Parker Hannifin has expanded its IQAN-MD5 family. Featuring fully programmable display units with graphics, diagnostics, and CAN gateway capabilities, the IQAN-MD5 family is now available in 5-inch and 8-inch sizes and will soon include sizes of 10.1-inch and 12.3-inch in a wide format. The expanded choice of display unit dimensions is designed to addresses a variety of applications, particularly in the field of control systems for off-road vehicles and mobile machinery. The weatherproof displays of the IQAN-MD5 ensure reliable performance in outdoor environments and demanding mechanical conditions.

The key advancements brought in with the IQAN-MD5 family expansion include a 300% increase in platform performance with four core processors and faster DRAM, improved graphics performance and support for Parker’s IQANdesign ecosystem (7.02) for application development, and scalable design with advanced graphical displays; all at a lower cost compared to the previous IQAN HMI platforms.

The rugged mechanical design of the IQAN-MD5 displays, with no moving parts and complete sealing, ensures durability in challenging environments. An optically bonded display glass enhances readability, eliminates light refraction, and prevents condensation, providing a clear and reliable interface.

Developed with aesthetics in mind, the new generation of the IQAN-MD5 display units can be integrated seamlessly into modern cabin designs. The touchscreen interface, along with IP camera support, further improves user experience and eliminates the need for separate camera monitors. Flexible mounting options allow for either integrated flush mounts or standalone configurations compatible with RAM mount components. The displays support both landscape and portrait orientations for easy integration into various HMI or mechanical setups.
