EPA Allowing Use of 15% Ethanol Fuel in Gasoline

The EPA has begun allowing use of 15% ethanol in gasoline after extensive testing of vehicles by the DOE and other organizations.

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has begun approving registration of ethanol for making gasoline containing 15% ethanol, also known as E15. 

Vehicle testing conducted by the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) and other organizations the EPA has determined that E15 is safe to use in vehicles from model year 2001 and on.
