Chairman of National Low-Carbon Strategy Group to Present at Diesel Emissions Conference India

The chairman of the National Low-Carbon Strategy Group, Dr. Kirit Parikh, will be give a presentation on reforming diesel fuel prices in India at Diesel Emissions Conference India.

Diesel prices in India are heavily subsidised by the government but, with a growing budget deficit, plans are being made to reduce this subsidy.

Dr Kirit Parikh, Chairman of the National Low-Carbon Strategy Group, will be addressing the Diesel Emissions Conference India to investigate possible methods of implementing diesel fuel price reform in India and the impact that this could have on the automotive industry.

Taking place September 12 to 14 at the Hilton in New Delhi, Integer Research’s 3rd Diesel Emissions Conference India will bring together senior stakeholders from the global automotive industry and investigate the industry’s progress in meeting Bharat Stage (BS) IV legislation for on-road and non-road vehicles and fuel economy requirements.

The conference will address emissions control technologies for high sulphur diesel fuel, the potential of alternative fuels and dual fuel technology, advancements in hybrid technology for light-duty vehicles and give an update on the current BS IV legislation.
