Stanley Engineered Fastening, has opened a new production facility in Elyria, OH. Stanley Engineered Fastening executives and local government officials celebrated the factory opening with a ribbon cutting ceremony on March 20.
When the renovations are complete, the 101,000-sq.-ft. facility will be an Industry 4.0 site utilizing IIoT technology. The implementation of real-time machine connectivity and monitoring capabilities is scheduled to be completed by Q3 2019. This investment will allow Stanley Engineered Fastening to streamline manufacturing processes and increase its production efficiencies.
“This production facility is an investment in the U.S. manufacturing industry, our hardworking employees, our loyal customers and the city of Elyria,” said James Ray, Vice President Global Operations, Stanley Engineered Fastening. “The new machinery creates a safer, more comfortable work environment for our employees and allows us to deliver high-quality products to our customers faster.”
The Stanley Engineered Fastening facility is located at 101 Liberty Court in Elyria. Employees at the site manufacture Nelson branded stud welding equipment, weld studs and critical fasteners for the construction, infrastructure, industrial and defense markets.
Stanley Engineered Fastening anticipates about 70 employees will be based out of the new factory with ample space to accommodate future growth.
