TriMark Celebrates 40 Years

TriMark Corporation is celebrating 40 years as one of the world's designers and manufacturers of vehicle hardware products for the recreational vehicle, agricultural, truck, construction, mass transit, armored vehicle and industrial enclosure markets. Recognized for engineering and producing a wide range of handles, latches, striker bolts, linkages and complete door access systems and related components, TriMark employee/owners are proud to be in the design and manufacture of high quality hardware.

TriMark Corporation was founded in 1971 in New Hampton, IA with a clear objective of transferring a strong Midwestern work ethic into engineering excellence, high product quality and a drive to serve customer's needs with products that fit THEIR requirements, especially when that meant a customized solution. In 1989, TriMark employees added pride of ownership to their motivation by purchasing the company and becoming 100% employee owned.

"I'm not sure who keeps tabs on these numbers but I was told that earlier in 2011 we produced our 20 millionth rotary latch," comments Patti Knowlton, TriMark General Manager and the person responsible for worldwide operations. "While rotary latches have certainly been a strong cornerstone for our business, the shear breadth and depth of our current access solutions, most of which are custom designs, is truly remarkable. Our customers have put a tremendous amount of trust and faith in us over the years and it shows in many of the long-term relationships we enjoy with those customers."

TriMark has expanded its global locations and is currently serving customers on five continents with over 400 dedicated employees. In 1997, TriMark Europe was incorporated as a sales, engineering distribution and logistics facility supporting the Europe market and is located at Bardon Hill, Coalville, United Kingdom. In 2007, TriMark acquired West Alloy in London, United Kingdom. Also in 2007, TriMark obtained its license to manufacture and sell products in China and located its facility at Xuzhou in Jiangsu province.

TriMark have been a valued partner supplier of Caterpillar for more than 20 years, with other global customers including John Deere, Volvo, PACCAR, and Case New Holland who provide world-class products to their global customers.
