Milwaukee Gear Co., a leading manufacturer of precision gears and drives based in Milwaukee, has become the newest member of the Regal Beloit family. Regal Beloit Corporation, the parent company of Durst, announced on February 3 that it had purchased the 94-year-old company renowned for its application engineering excellence and high-precision manufacturing processes.

Regal Beloit, a global leader in mechanical and electrical motion control and power generation products, has extensive experience in the acquisition and integration of businesses throughout the world. The purchase of Milwaukee Gear reflects Regal Beloit’s commitment to expanding its business through the strategic acquisition of complementary and technically advanced product lines and businesses.

Milwaukee Gear will bring a wider range of gearing solutions and further expand the global reach of Regal Beloit’s Mechanical segment, according to Mark Gliebe, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. He calls the business a “great fit.”

“Our recent acquisition of Milwaukee Gear strengthens our Mechanical offerings and increases our presence in the growing oil and gas space,” Gliebe says.

Milwaukee Gear specializes in standard and custom gears. It caters to a worldwide client base with its highly engineered gearing components used in oil and gas applications and many other commercial and industrial applications.
