Two 500 lb. Trelleborg tires will be used in the lifting stage of the World's Strongest Man competition.

Trelleborg Worlds Strongest Man Contest

Trelleborg supports The World’s Strongest Man contest to be held from September 24 to October 1, 2012 in Los Angeles, CA, where a pair of Trelleborg’s 520/85R42 TM600 tires weighing almost 500 lbs. are used in the lifting stage of the competition.

Jeff Jankowski, Sales Director Agricultural & Forestry Tires, Trelleborg Wheel Systems U.S., says, “Trelleborg tires are usually the things demonstrating their strength while carrying high loads in fields and on road. But as one of the challenges in the World’s Strongest Man competition, the tables are turned. It is the competitors showing their strength when lifting Trelleborg tires. In order to meet the demands of our end users for higher farming productivity, all our products are continuously undergoing a significant number of challenging tests, just like the World’s Strongest Man athletes.”

The 2012 contest will be the 35th annual World's Strongest Man. Returning to the city where it first started in 1977, the event will be held on the grounds of the Commerce Casino in Los Angeles, CA, U.S.
