CARRARO FLS – eFLS 3.2 transmissions can be used in traditional as well as electric hybrid or full electric vehicles.

CARRARO’s FLS - eFLS 3.2 transmission meets the performance requirements of various heavy-duty equipment such as excavators, wheel loaders, telescopic boom handlers, and backhoe loaders.

  • Optimized driving performance achieved using relatively small size motors and powershift technology which shifts between two speed ranges
  • Can be configured with several features to suit a wide array of vehicles
  • Versatility is combined with compact dimension, which facilitates installation in several vehicle layouts
  • Can be mounted separately from the axles or at the input of one of the axles, horizontally or vertically
  • Can be used in traditional internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles with hydrostatic propel systems, as well as in electric hybrid (HEV) or full electric vehicles (EV) driven by electric motors
  • Driven by hydrostatic motors with both open loop and closed loop hydraulic circuit for ICE vehicles
  • Fitted with a specific input module for use in HEVs or EVs, which enables the proper mechanical reduction to be driven by a wide range of electric motors while maintaining the main gearbox
  • Minimizes power losses and noise
  • Ensures ideal pull effort at every speed, using two gear ratios with no torque interruption shifting, thus optimizing the required size of the motor
  • Unit shifting is available with alternative shifting controls such as electro-hydraulic with fixed modulation, or electronically controlled with adaptive modulation
  • Electronically controlled shifting ensures automatic and smooth speed selection in all working conditions
  • Electronic transmission control is customized per each vehicle application and dialogues with other vehicle controls via CANbus
  • Can be installed in one of CARRARO ECU platforms or in other available vehicle ECUs according to application needs
  • Compliant to Functional Safety Regulations (ISO25119, ISO13849)
  • Supporting various CAN protocols, including XCP, SAE J1939, KWP2000 and UDS
